Excellent sandwiches (hot and cold), salads, and soups for lunch; upscale dinner. Great food, lots of variety. Nice choice of wines and beers. Would go back again. . .and again. . .and again. Highly recommended!

The duck breast appetizer was wonderful, and the blackened salmon was perfect...I asked for it rare and it was. The warm beet salad was amazing, with crunchy jicama. Lovely dinner. I'll be back soon

The food was sooo good. Fresh and beautfifully presented on the plate. Starting with the Fried Oysters w/Cajun sauce & the Sun Dried Tomato encrusted Trout for the entree. For dessert the Vanilla Creme Brule & Rao's coffee. The server was very attentive and friendly as well.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with mustard, cheddar and spinach. This is what I got, except that it was one piece of turkey, one piece of cheese, and a dozen pieces of spinach. This for six bucks. The bread was undersized. Now if this were somehow amazing stuff, six bucks is ok, but it wasn't. The fries were also way undercooked. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly. The portions left a lot to be desired.

We went for lunch on during the recent cold snap. I mention this because we were seated right in front of the door and felt acutely the amount of traffic this place sees. It was, in fact, full up when we went a little after noon and the chilly table was the best we could do. I ordered a turkey sandwich and their butternut bisque soup. I enjoyed the sandwich a lot, the meat was real, the bread tasty and the toppings fresh. The bisque was overworked, with too much and too many spices in it. I could taste it for the next day. Seriously. I'm a fan of the place, even as it can be frustrating to actually be there. There is so little space and it's laid out less than ideally. Expect to be nudged and bumped throughout your meal by other diners and waitstaff navigating the room. Maybe they can expand a bit and relieve the pressure. Here's hoping.

Pros: Fresh food, hot. Cons: Cramped dining area, service a little slow for cafe.
